"Boy Meets World" star Danielle Fishel praised her friend and former costar Rider Strong for his "effusive" nature.

Rider Strong said on his "Boy Meets World" rewatch podcast that he initially didn't get along with Savage because he was a "northern California snob."

Strong's costar Danielle Fishel recalled a similar environment, saying she was always "chasing the dragon" of the showrunner's praise.

"I get chills thinking about it. I will remember it for the rest of my life," said Fishel, who initially lost the role to another actress.

"I said, 'Well, that's a funny name and I don't really want to make fun of teachers," the 95-year-old "Boy Meets World" star recalled.

Fishel opened up to People in 2010 about body-image issues she had while filming the show. "I was terrified to eat," she said at the time.

Danielle Fishel told Insider that accepting and acknowledging their "less than stellar" moments is how people grow.

"I should have just been happier and lived in the moment," Strong told Insider about his time playing Shawn Hunter on "Boy Meets World."

Fishel said her last several years on "Boy Meets World" were "tainted" by her "feeling of wanting it to be over."
